About SPN
I am SPN, a visual artist originally from Mogadishu and currently based in Kuala Lumpur, where I study Architecture.
Art has always been part of who I am. I have always been drawn to faces, structures, lines, and stories. Over the past two years, I have committed myself seriously to developing my craft, combining passion with discipline.
Drawing gives me peace.
It slows my mind.
It gives me space to think freely.
Architecture trains my mind to think in structure.
Art allows my soul to move without limits.
Together, they shape my identity.
My work reflects both where I come from and where I am going. Through art and architecture, I continue to explore identity, structure, and emotion.
My Philosophy
Creativity is not only talent.
It is patience.
Observation.
Courage.
I believe in creating work that feels honest and meaningful. Coming from Somalia, I am motivated to represent creativity and excellence internationally. I want my work to inspire young artists to dream beyond borders.

Artist Statement
Art, for me, is communication.
Each drawing is a conversation between my thoughts and my hands. Sometimes it speaks of joy. Sometimes uncertainty. Sometimes strength.
I do not try to be perfect.
I try to be honest.
Through my work, I invite viewers to pause, reflect, and feel something real.
